Firstly, the ship must be really luxurious, a 6 star hotel which travels the world. It must of course,be very well stabilised, to avoid any possibility of seasickness! The staff must be attentive, polite, charming and cheerfully helpful without being ’smarmy’ or too obvious by their presence. The food must be of the highest quality and prepared by top chefs, although this should not mean too rich- sometimes simplicity is called for.
There should be lots of choice to suit everyone, but with an emphasis on freshness and options to try local cuisine from the ports we reach. there should always be drinks and snacks available if passengers wish them. the facilities on board should include a gym, exercise classes to suit all levels and abilities from energetic aerobics or step classes to peaceful yoga and tai-chi. there should also be dancing classes in ballroom , salsa, etc, and opportunities for swimming, some sort of golf practice, and perhaps things like srchery, badminton, tennis, etc.
There should be a daily treatment included in the cost of the cruise, such as a choice of a massage or beauty treatment/manicure/pedicure, with other s available to buy. Entertainment should be varied, from pop to classical, from comedy to lectures on relevant topics. The journey would be from hong Kong eastwards, exploring both well known and relatively undiscovered islands, and should have the option to last either 2 or 3 weeks. I don’t mind where it goes so long as there is the opppoptunity to explore and learn about different cultures, with excursions led by local experts. Sounds wonderful!!!!
