Features from her predecessors, Queen Elizabeth and QE2, adorn the walls and public rooms, and sit comfortably alongside her modern charm.

Dear Anna, We have been on board Noah’s Ark 1 for a week now and are having a great time. What sort of word is CRUISE? It’s got six letters and half of them are vowels. I looked it up in the dictionary. After the entry word and in brackets it says ‘krooz’, then ‘krewz’, it’s a phonetic to aid pronunciation of course. I bet that’s a difficult word to say if you’re French, they would have difficulty pronouncing the oooh bit in the middle. But then oooh is the very word that sums it up…..t

Firstly, the ship must be really luxurious, a 6 star hotel which travels the world. It must of course,be very well stabilised, to avoid any possibility of seasickness! The staff must be attentive, polite, charming and cheerfully helpful without being ’smarmy’ or too obvious by their presence. The food must be of the highest quality and prepared by top chefs, although this should not mean too rich- sometimes simplicity is called for.
