We like

The focus on history and culture along with the interesting and different ports of call not often seen on a cruise itinerary. The guest lecture programme will be excellent too. We also like the fact that local wines are served at dinner.

What you should know

This ship is definitely aimed at the cultural traveller – there are no casinos or nightclubs on board – though the dress code is smart casual.

May we suggest

You take advantage of the private evening visits to St Mark’s in Venice and receptions at the Palazzo Gangi in Palermo.
