Swan Hellenic have been defining the art of discovery cruising for more than half a century, and offer a unique cultural travel experience that combines visiting some of the worlds most popular cruise destinations, with those that lay off-the-beaten-track.
Aboard their flagship, MV Minerva, guests can expect to enjoy her unique character, reminiscent of an English Country Club as they relax in her sophisticated surroundings where polished wood and gleaming brass are complemented by works of art and fresh floral displays. A cruise with Swan Hellenic offers unbeatable value, of which includes an extensive shore excursion program led by destination experts and the award winning professional service from the dedicated crew.
Swan Hellenic’s long established guest speaker programme illuminates days at sea whilst open-seating dining gives you the opportunity to experience gourmet cuisine at a time that suits you. A cruise aboard the Swan Hellenic is unique and you are assured to receive an unparalleled experience aboard an intimate-sized vessel designed to explore the un-explored.
MV Minerva is adored for her stately comforts and is likened to a country house at sea. Onboard the ship, all polished wood and gleaming brass, guests enjoy the relaxed lounge, gym, Wheeler bar and Shackleton’s bar.
Minerva entered service in 1996 and after a short period sailing as Explorer II, she has re-entered the market for the resurrected Swan Hellenic brand. Following refurbishment Minerva is once again cruising the world’s oceans. At only 12,500 tonnes, and with a crew of 160, she offers her 199 guests a stylish cruise. Minerva is a double hulled Ice Class vessel.
Minerva has a country house hotel feel about her. Her small size allows her to get into ports of call that larger ships cannot access. Her size also creates a very social atmosphere on board and it is easy to get to know your fellow guests. Great for single travellers too.
There are only 12 suites with balconies, so we would recommend you book early if you want one of these grades of cabin. Cruises to Antarctica are limited in numbers, so again, book early.
