SeaDream has set a new standard for personalisation and luxury in holidaying at sea. A holiday aboard SeaDream I or Seadream II is not just a cruise, it’s a whole yachting experience. From the moment you first embark, you will enjoy a level of service, cuisine and attention to detail that are unparalleled. With only 55 bedrooms, yet 95 staff each, SeaDream I & SeaDream II offer a much-envied 1:1 staff to guest ratio on most sailings.
Wintering away from the destinations favoured by traditional cruise lines, SeaDream I & Seadream II spend November to April in and around the intimate harbours and chic private islands of the Caribbean. They spend the summer months sailing across the wider Mediterranean, their itineraries a heady mix of must-visit resorts, unspoiled coasts and chic coastal villages; and because they are mega-yachts, you can expect to drop anchor off places to see and be seen, and not to tie up in commercial ports.
Dining aboard SeaDream I or Seadream II is a culinary adventure for the senses. Whether eating alfresco or in the elegantly appointed Dining Salon, all guests enjoy open-seating dining, award-winning service, and world class cuisine with complimentary wines served at lunch and dinner. Menus offer international and regional dishes, featuring cuisine á la minute, where each dish is prepared fresh and to order.
It’s a delight to start each day looking out over the sea or your new destination from the Topside Restaurant, where informal lunches are also served. Breakfast and lunch menus combine tempting hot dishes with a freshly prepared buffet, while 24-hour room service offers healthy selections and light fare.
SeaDream’s Champagne and Caviar Splash™ is a yachting celebration. In the Caribbean it is accompanied by a barbecue served on china and enjoyed on a white sandy beach. In the Mediterranean it happens aft on the Pool Deck, the crew donning full snorkel equipment before spraying the air with Champagne.
A rejuvenating experience awaits you at the SeaDream Spa.
Our signature cruise with SeaDream is a classic cruise through the Mediterranean, beginning in Nice and ending in Rome. Highlights include Monte Carlo, St Tropez, Portofino and Corsica.
SeaDream Yacht Club is the brainchild of Atle Brynestad, the founder of Seabourn Cruise Line, and Larry Pimentel, the former CEO of Cunard, and was founded just days before the World Trade Centre tragedy of 2001. From inception, it was always their wish to create a totally different type of holiday at sea. They saw the need for something yacht like and delivered the mega-yachts SeaDream I & SeaDream II for those who like to holiday at sea but prefer not to cruise. For the sixth successive year, SeaDream I & II have been deemed the ‘World’s Best’ passenger fleet by the authoritative Berlitz Guide to Cruising.
We love the Top of the Yacht Bar, very much a central point before and after dinner. On the same top deck you will also find SeaDream’s Balinese Dream Beds – huge comfy sun beds that are out of this world. You can even sleep out on them under the stars – just ask the crew and they will make a fresh bed for you, duvet, sheets, pillows and all.
You will find that SeaDream I & II are much more informal than traditional cruise ships and attract a slightly younger range of clients. Designed for the way we live our lives today, and delightfully unstructured, there is no formal entertainment. After dinner, guests can choose whether to slip into a deck chair and take in a film, enjoy a concert across the Pool Deck, nip off to their cabin with a book or one of 100s of dvds, head to the piano bar for a gentle sing along, risk a few dollars in the small casino, or have after-dinner drinks at the Top of the Yacht Bar.
You take advantage of the complimentary range of motorised and non-motorised water sports toys while the ship is at anchor.
SeaDream I & II are for clients who want ultra-luxury but want it in a relaxed style. No tuxedos or ball gowns on here. Ideal for couples who are more active, and who love an alfresco life, these unique little vessel sail to the more sought-after parts of the Mediterranean in the summer and in and around the intimate yachting harbours of the Caribbean in the winter.
