With Seabourn if they have it on the ship, it is yours for the asking, at no extra charge, and there is no tipping allowed. We had a 5-course meal delivered to our room one night, a course at a time, and it could not have been better.

My immediate impression was of impeccable service from white gloved, uniformed staff waiting a the end of the red carpet to relieve the embarking guests of their coats and hand luggage and escort them up the walkway with pleasant conversation.

We flew with BA to Venice and were swiftly transferred to the Port of Venice. The red carpet was out as we made our way into the terminal for check-in, which was very quick, and then we made our way to the pier side.
