OUR TIPS

The basics

The five ships of the Hapag-Lloyd Cruises fleet are led by industry-leading ship Europa – consistently ranked as the best ship in the world for the tenth consecutive year by Berlitz Complete Guide to Cruising.

We like

The quality of food and service on board, the off-the-beaten-track ports of call and the attentive German staff.

What you should know

The passenger mix is predominantly from Germany but this does not present a problem as all the staff and crew are fluent in English. Hapag-Lloyd Cruises operates several 'bilingual' cruises where all the onboard programmes are printed in English.

May we suggest

You book early for expedition cruises as these sell out very quickly due to the out-of-the-way destinations they visit.

Recommended for

Cruise enthusiasts who have an appetite for luxurious adventure & expedition cruising.
