European Waterways provides cruises along European inland waterways in nine countries aboard luxury hotel barges. Alouette – luxury cruises

Alouette


Alouette is a 98 feet long Luxemotor hotel barge built in the 17th century and owned by Orient Express. Accommodating four passengers in two well-appointed air-conditioned cabins.



Anjodi – luxury cruises

Anjodi


Anjodi, a classic Dutch design, has been completely refurbished in traditional African hardwoods, hand-crafted panelling and shining brass and evokes a delightful atmosphere reminiscent of a classic yacht.



Athos – luxury cruises

Athos


Athos, a 103 feet long hotel barge, accommodates 10 passengers in five comfortable, air-conditioned cabins. Originally built in 1964 to transport sand, gain and wine, she was converted in 1982.



Enchante – luxury cruises

Enchante


Enchante is tastefully furnished in exotic hardwoods, features a large, spacious  aloon and fantastic facilities such as a demonstration galley, for guests to view the chef, internet connection and sound system.



L'Art de Vivre – luxury cruises

L'Art de Vivre


L'Art de Vivre, formerly a Scottish cargo barge was converted into a luxury barge to cruise the canals of Burgundy. Onboard guests can enjoy the sun deck, spa pool and comfortable saloon and dining room.



L'Impressionniste – luxury cruises

L'Impressionniste


L'Impressionniste, formerly a Dutch cargo barge, has been transformed into a powerful canal and river cruiser. The interior is light and airy, featuring picure windows and select prints, fabrics and wall colourings.



La Belle Epoque – luxury cruises

La Belle Epoque


La Belle Epoque is a state-of-the-art luxury hotel barge, which cruises Burgundy's canals. Designed with elegance and comfort in mind, the barge features a sundeck, spa pool and always-open inclusive bar in the wood-panelled saloon.



La Nouvelle Etoile  – luxury cruises

La Nouvelle Etoile


La Nouvelle Etoile offers a very high level of comfort and convenience for curises through Germany, Holland, Belgium and France. The spacious saloon, dining area and cocktail bar feature a warm teaek interior with elegant furniture, while the 200 sq. ft. suites are lavishly equipped with the amenities of a top hotel room.



La Reine Pedauque – luxury cruises

La Reine Pedauque is a large barge that caters for just eight discerning travellers, able to fully appreciate oversized staterooms with sitting areas.



Magna Carta – luxury cruises

Magna Carta is one of the most luxurious barges cruising Britain's waterways. Fine mahogany, teak and oak woods are used throughout to create a warm ambience.



Napoleon – luxury cruises

Napoleon


Napoléon pampers her 12 guests in luxuriously large staterooms, each with an en suite bathroom. The fabulous saloon features a piano, stereo and TV, while the sundeck boasts a spa pool.



Nymphea – luxury cruises

Nymphea


Nymphea features a shallow draft making it ideal for navigating the sandy reaches of the River Cher in the Loire Valley.



Renaissance – luxury cruises

Renaissance


Renaissance, originally built in Spitz, Belgium, was converted to a hotel barge in 1999 and then extensively refitted in 2009 to delight the most discerning travellers.



Rosa  – luxury cruises

Rosa


Rosa, an old Dutch Clipper barge, was completely refitted in 2010 to a high specification, with attractive wood panelling, comfortable seating and snug bar.



Savoir Faire – luxury cruises

Savoir Faire


Savoir Faire, originally built in 1932, provides luxury barge cruises in France, Belgium and Holland. Refurbished a few years ago, the saloon, dining area and bar are finished in mahogany, teak and brass and furnished with fine antiques and paintings, while her six staterooms feature en suite bathrooms.



Scottish Highlander – luxury cruises

Scottish Highlander


Scottish Highlander was converted from a Dutch trading barge to a luxury hotel barge in 1999 and today evokes the atmosphere of a Scottish country house, with subtle tartan furnishings and landscape paintings.



Shannon Princess II – luxury cruises

Shannon Princess II


Shannon Princess II is the only luxury hotel barge cruising Ireland's waterways. Carrying 10 passengers down the River Shannon, she has a comfortable interior with panoramic windows.
