The Luxury Cruise Company specialises in selling five star cruises, often tailoring a bespoke package to suite our client’s requirements. Our recommend five-star cruise lines are Oceania Cruises, Star Clippers, Azamara Club Cruises, Holland America Lines, Celebrity Cruises (Solstice Class) and Windstar Cruises.
A five-star cruise will give you wonderful food, excellent service and superb cabins and suites onboard. The main difference between a 5 star cruise and a 6 star one is the cruises tend not to be all-inclusive, and are priced accordingly. If you are looking for a luxury cruise that will give you excellent food, itineraries and service then we would recommend the cruise lines listed below.
Our popular five-star cruises and five-star cruise lines are:-
Oceania Cruises offers three mid-size ships that sail all over the world. Renowned for their five-star service and exceptional cuisine, Oceania Cruises itineraries are very destination driven allowing you more time in different ports.
We love the decor that heralds back to 1920s and 1930s grand ocean liners, with wrought iron staircase railings, rich carpets and trompe l’oeil ceilings.
While the surroundings are formal, the style of dress is not - no tuxedos or ball gowns. Country club casual is the dress code on board.
The mid-sized and intimacy of the ships make it ideal for couples that enjoy good food and style, with excellent service, set in an informal atmosphere.
Star Clippers has a fleet of three windjammer vessels that sail to the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. There is no experience like sailing under the billowing canvas sails of a traditional tall ship. Star Clippers provide five-star cruises and a laidback, relaxed atmosphere onboard. The captains will always usethe sails whenever possible and leaving port is a special event.
The relaxed, laid-back atmosphere on board combined with the great service.
Entertainment is limited in the evening and there’s not a huge choice of bars. These vessels are sailing ships and cabins can be smaller than on a conventional cruise ship.
Have a go at climbing the rigging to the crow’s nest, it’s great fun.
Younger or young at heart couples who seek something different from their sea-going experience.
Azamara Club Cruises operate two ships, sister ships to the Oceania Cruises fleet, and offers upscale five-star service, cuisine and destination intensive cruises.
The two ships have recently been refurbished and offer butler services in every suite.
The “more inclusive” aspect of Azamara Club Cruises and all that’s now included in the fare. The complimentary wine served at lunch and dinner is of excellent quality.
These smaller ships do not have the big production shows found on the mega-liners. The evening entertainment is more cabaret style with a few poolside parties and late night quizzes.
You treat yourself to a spa treatment in the well-equipped Astral Spa, and do book up on the first day for the excellent alternative dining venues.
Couples and singles who like to immerse themselves in the destination, who like longer port times in an elegant yet informal atmosphere.
